Sarah is a native Kansas Citian who loves the diversity that is found in the metro. She has 25 years of professional employment working in a variety of environments. Early in Sarah's career, she was a special education teacher. She transitioned from education into counseling to work with a wider variety of people, with more diverse concerns and age ranges.
As a therapist, Sarah utilizes an eclectic model and draws from a broad base of theoretical orientations. She prefers to assess each client's needs and meet them where they are; utilizing best practice for their specific concerns. Sarah has a Master’s degree in special education; Autism from KU and a Master’s degree in counseling psychology from Avila University. She is licensed in both Kansas and Missouri in professional counseling.
Sarah is passionate about her work in counseling. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her friends and family; being outdoors, reading, and participating in activities Kansas City has to offer.
